I have school Monday through Thursday and it starts at 8am in downtown Phoenix, which means I have the privilege of driving in rush hour traffic on a regular basis. I enjoy rush hour. I love the challenge of maneuvering my way through traffic and the thrill of picking the lane that will move the fastest. I also appreciate the quality time it gives me to listen to John Jay and Rich.
The only problem with rush hour is when you're in a hurry, and unfortunately I'm always running late so this is a reacurring problem. I'm often tempted to drive in the carpool lane, but I'm afraid Ben will leave me if I get another ticket, so I don't. I recently came up with the solution to this problem. All I need to do is start a small underground business where drivers pick up a homeless person right before they get on the freeway and hire them for the drive. Then of course the driver would just drop off the homeless person at the next freeway overpass when they get off. It's a win win. The driver (me) would get to enjoy the openness of the HOV lane, and the homeless dude would get out of the heat for a little bit, while making a few bucks, and enjoying a lively conversation with myself.
